- A PhD in glaciology, glacial geology or a related discipline, with a sound record of publication
- Experience in working with a range of analytical software such as Geographical Information Systems (e.g QGIS, Generic Mapping Tools) remote sensing platforms, and/or scientific programming (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
- Experience in applying cosmogenic nuclide methods and/or numerical modelling to problems in glaciology

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Research Fellow to join the School of Earth, Atmosphere & Environment at Monash University. The School of Earth, Atmosphere & Environment is a world-class centre for research in the diverse areas of Atmosphere, Climate, Geography, Environment and Solid Earth. The Research Fellow will work with glaciologists within the Monash Ice Sheet Initiative (MISI), including Professor Andrew Mackintosh who will supervise the position.

As the Research Fellow, you will become an integral part of MISI and the School of Earth, Atmosphere & Environment. The primary purpose of this position is to carry out and support field, laboratory and computer-based research on glaciers and ice sheets and their interaction with the climate system in the past, present and future. This work will lead to improved understanding of global sea level changes and water resources.
